The two girls have a mysterious experience which convinces Catherine that she has a cure for her brother. But her parents become annoyed at Catherine's persistence, claiming she is just seeking attention and giving them false hope. Only a change of events convinces both her parents and the local villagers that Catherine is telling the truth.
